Information We Keep
Your name
So people know who is speaking.
With each conversation you join.
Conversations and conferences
Messages, captions, comments and files, and who joined. Each time it is used again, the 30 days start over. The person who started it can delete it at any time. Its files are removed within a day after.
Deleted after 30 days without use.
Saved captions
They never reach our servers.
On your device, until you delete them.
Signs you teach
A reviewer checks each one. If approved, anyone can watch it in the Library, so your face is seen. It is also used to improve sign reading.
Until you delete them.
Signs you confirm on the camera
Used only to teach the app. Never shown in the Library. Turn it off in Profile.
Only if you turn it on. Until you delete them.
Settings and device code
A random code tells the app which conversations are yours.
On your device.
Third Parties
- Speech to text: your browser sends your voice to Google (Chrome, Android) or Apple (iPhone, Safari). We only receive the words.
- Sign reading: a short video goes to Google Gemini. We don't keep it unless you turned on "Help improve sign reading".
- Reading aloud: uses the voices on your own device.
Storage
Data is stored with Supabase in Ireland (EU). The website runs on Microsoft Azure in Switzerland, through Cloudflare.
Access
- People in the same conversation.
- Reviewers, for signs sent to the Library.
- Our team, only to fix a problem you report or when the law requires it.
Your Rights
- Leave a conversation at any time.
- Download conversations, or delete the ones you started, from Profile.
- Delete your signs from Teach.
- Clear your browser to remove settings and saved captions.
